My anthem has always been "32 Flavors" (by Ani Difranco). I am earthy, holistic, independent, compassionate, adventurous… I believe in truth, respect, fairness, being rational and open-minded, and having a sense of humor… I like to be easy-going, curious, spontaneous, fun-loving, creative… I am a naturalist, I don’t color my hair or wear perfumes or makeup (except special occasions) and I still wear my favorite sweater that I bought in Chicago 20 years ago.( Not to worry, I keep it clean.) I am an animal lover—I’ve been called a dog whisperer, and my now 3rd career is working with them.
I can be silly and serious, and just as comfortable roughing it outdoors as I am wine and dining at a 3-star restaurant—though I prefer less pretentious environments.
I often listen to NPR and absolutely love "Car Talk" and "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me".
I love motherhood. I enjoy my time at home with my 8 year old daughter doing arts and crafts, puzzles, games, movies, making music (some may call it noise) and dancing, but would enjoy being more active with a partner: B-ball on the street, mountain biking, hiking, canoeing, etc. I grew up on an Air Force Base, hence my attraction to this site; however, we're an unconventional granola pack, rather A-typical for military offspring, but we are honorable.
I've been happily single for quite some time and I keep too busy with work and taking care of my daughter to make time for dating. But I've come to realize that there is strength in numbers, and the foundation of a healthy family will better equip my daughter and simply provide more balance and joy. So here we are looking for some stray wolf to help us on our hunt: many miles to explore, many adventures to be had, many obstacles to overcome.
